NEED FOR TEACHING OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN NIGERIA

INTRODUCTION

 there is so much need for the introduction of entrepreneurship education into the Nigeria institutions. But before we go ahead to justify this lets have a brief definition of the term entrepreneurship.

  According to business dictionary, entrepreneurship is the capacity and willingness to develop organization and manage a business venture along with any of its risk in other to make profit. The noticeable example of entrepreneurship is the starting businesses.

In economics, the combination of entrepreneurship combined with labor, land, natural resources and capital can produce profit.

Entrepreneurship is the ability of a person who is able to develop, organize and manage a business ventures either created by him/her or developed by him or her  along with any of the risk involved in business ventures in order to maximize profit

The characteristics of entrepreneurship spirit are known as risk taking (in starting a business you must be ready to take risk in other to maximize profit) and innovation as is an essential part of a nation’s ability to succeed in an ever changing and increasingly competitive global market place.

THE NEEDS FOR TEACHING ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN NIGERIA ARE:

1-To change the mindset of the youth

                   Youth of nowadays believe so much in white collar jobs, that is why when they graduate they go home to sit and wait until they are call for white collar jobs not knowing that they can also be an employer of others but with the teaching of entrepreneurship in Nigeria youths will know that they can be an employer on their own and change their mindset of waiting of waiting of white collar jobs and start investing in what they can do best.

2-To reduce unemployment in Nigeria

                   The rate of unemployment in Nigeria is high, due to the fact that there are no more vacancy in Nigeria and so many hope on classic jobs in Nigeria and rate of those graduated in Nigeria each are high. But with this teaching on entrepreneurship many (majority) will understand the fact that they can be employed without waiting for white collar jobs and this will reduce the rate of unemployment.

3-Making youths independent by making majority employers of others
